What follows are three hopscotch boards with hand-selected prompts to encourage you. Feel free to take one, two, or all three of them. One is tailored to those working in visual mediums, one for those working with text, and one is a canon/fanworks explorer board to encourage you to explore different genres of wlw media and fan works.
What does that mean? It means this event is open to artists, writers, podficcers, translators, reccers. The sky is the limit. If you can find a way to use the boards in a way that feels inspirational to you and helps you engage with wlw media and fan works, that's what we're hoping for.
- chose a board (or more or all of them)
- complete one square in each row, this sometimes means you have one option, sometimes two or three, on rows with more than one square, you only need to complete one
- if a square doesn’t vibe with you, feel free to swap it for another sex act/kink/explicit trope; try to avoid swapping the whole board, as this is meant to be a challenge
- post to your favorite site on or after May 2, 2025
- complete enough works (by your definition) to reach the other side of the hopscotch board before the world goes up in flames
- if you post on bsky, be sure to tag #LesbiFreakFriday so we can see
- everyone profits
- given the nature of this event, participants must be 18+, nobody needs to air their age, but if we discover evidence that a participant is younger than this, they will be asked to see themselves into another event
- approximately 50% (or more) of creations should involve canonical wlw ships; the other half-ish can involve non-canonically wlw characters or wlw ships
- canonical shapeshifters who present as women some of the time count if the work involves that presentation
- non-canonical genderbends of mlm or m/w ships are discouraged
- works should be explicit and/or center the characters’ sexuality/kinks
- works can be as small or big as you like, in whatever format appeals best to you, no mins or maxes
- feel free to make your work as toxic or sweet as you like about as toxic or sweet a ship as you like, we won't police
- for the canon/fanworks explorer board, feel free to use this to make works about different canon wlw ships without specific kinks sprinkled in or use it as an enticement to read/watch/play more widely; in the case of the latter, we’d love to hear about what you’ve discovered! ideally, you'd also leave comments for fan creators that you enjoy as you're working through the board
- if you like one board more than another, but you don't want to use it for it's intended purpose (for example, you're a writer and you like the visual board better), feel free to use that one instead

What media counts?
Any media featuring canonical wlw ships is preferred. Other media is allowed, but we’re hoping to encourage canon wlw ships here.
Does the media have to fuck?
Only if you're creating orig.
What sort of stuff can I make?
Whatever you like, honestly. We just want to encourage more engagement with wlw media and fan creators. Examples we've thought of off the top of our heads: art, collage, icons, sexy sculptures, fic, podfic, fan translations, binding your fave explicit fic, recs lists of canons or fan works, horny music compositions, whatever floats your boat. (Please obtain permission for any works you make that involve other people's work.)
Am I locked into a type of fanwork if I start with one type?
Nah, feel free to mix and match.
What about orig works?
Sure, go for it!
Does the work have to be about sexy and/or kinky stuff?
Yeah, sorry.
What if I don't like your hopscotch boards?
We welcome you to bring your own board.
Do I have to post on Fridays?
The fandom police are off-duty in these parts, so feel free to post whatever, whenever. Fridays are fun, though.
